July Birchbox!

Hi all! Here's an overview of what I received in this month's Bircbox! This month was special, because designer Cynthia Rowley worked with Birchbox to help hand-pick some of her favorite beauty and skincare products! I was so excited for this month because I love Cynthia Rowley! In fact, my whole stationary set is Cynthia Rowley, and I think she's amazing. :)

Even the packaging was dedicated to Cynthia Rowley!

This is what my box looked like immediately after I opened it!

I wasn't too thrilled with the philosophy Purity facial cleanser, because I've tried this two times before last year, and it broke me out badly both times.

This is JOYA's FvsS Composition No.1 Parfum. It's a rollerball perfume, that smells of orange and jasmine. I definitely like it!

This is Redkin's shine flash, which is a spray that gives hair more shine and sheen. Redken is a very raved about company, so I'm looking forward to using the spray!

This is Nuxe's Multi-Usage Dry oil. It fixes any dry spots on the skin, face, or even hair and is infused with aloe. It smells very similar to the JOYA perfume.

This is KIND's Almond & Apricot Bar. It doesn't contain preservatives, is gluten free, and all around a great, wholesome snack to have in your purse. It's also very delicious, and I will definitely want to pick up a box of it soon!

[Not pictured separately] ybf beauty's eye brow pencil in universal taupe is a two in one eyebrow pencil and brush. It's perfect for traveling, and suitable for a wide range of hair and skin tones!

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures! Until next time,

July Jewelmint Haul!

Hi everybody!

Here I have some pictures of my latest Jewelmint purchase, where I picked up 3 fabulous pieces of jewelry. This month was quite a splurge, but I was able to find a coupon code, and got 8 dollars off of each item, which was a great deal!

Garden Patch Trio - This set of colorful bangles covered in cloth material and highly pigmented thread are perfect for throwing on to make any simple outfit much more exciting! They are a great fit, not too snug or loose, and are extremely lightweight.

For Keeps Bracelet- This bracelet features 1 inch colored beads with a very summery color scheme. The band is adjustable, and has a very chunky feel.

Scarab Ring- This purchase was my absolute favorite! It infuses ancient Egyptian history with modern fashion to give it a really unique feel. The sizing runs a tad bit large, but it was a great fit none the less. Love it!

Until next time,

Crazy Things my Brother Says!

Hi everybody!

As some of you may know, I have an 8-year-old little brother, Isaiah. He's pretty loud, and will say anything that's one his mind! Here are a few of his hilarious remarks!

  • There was this lady on the bus, and she was laughing SO LOUD! She sounded just like you, "arr arr arr!"
  • I don't see why people even like milk because it has an after taste of poo.
  • I was looking up videos of 3-year-old rappers on youtube, and there were a TON of videos! [Note: don't ask me why he was looking up videos of 3-year-old rappers]
  • Girls have "Sweet Sixteen" parties, and guys have "Dude, I'm 16" parties!
  • If I were British, I would change my name to something ordinary, like Sean Kingston!
  • I haven't seen any of the other X-Men movies except for Wolverine. I hope the new one has Spiderman in it!

As you can see, he comes up with some pretty funny stuff! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Until next time,

June Birchbox and Jewelmint

Hi everybody! I've decided that I'm going to be putting photos of my Birchbox and Jewelmint deliveries from each month here, on my blog. Birchbox and Jewelmint are both monthly beauty delivery services. Birchbox is only $10 a month, and they send you 4-5 deluxe high end samples of skincare, hair care, and make up. Jewelmint is a bit pricier at $30 a month, and they create a selection of jewelry pieces specifically for you each month. From that selection, you get to choose one piece that they'll deliver to you.

DIY Face Masks!

Hi everyone!

The summer is approaching (in Texas, it's already here!) and that means HEAT! The heat can be fun, for a day at the pool or the beach. However, the hot weather makes my skin very oily, and that means that my skin is more prone to breakouts. It seems that even the most high end products can't clear my skin! I've found that the best solution for my skin is to avoid chemicals, and instead go the natural route.  Here are some all natural face masks that are great for summertime skin!

Mediterranean Summer- This mask requires just two ingredients: plain/Greek yogurt, and honey! You'll need a tablespoon of each. Just mix them together, and apply to the face. Leave it on for about 20-30 minutes. Both the yogurt and honey contain antioxidants and vitamins, and are great for acne prone skin.

Sunrise Parfait- For this mask you'll need a tablespoon plain/Greek yogurt, a quarter of a banana, and a tablespoon oatmeal. Mash this concoction together, and leave on for 20-30 minutes. This is great for skin that has been damaged by the sun, because the oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties.

Green Supreme- This mask requires a quarter of an avocado, and a tablespoon of honey. Mix these together and apply to the face for 20-30 minutes. This is perfect for moisturizing without clogging pores. The honey tightens the skin, and the avocado works to hydrate the skin.

Veggie Delight - This isn't necessarily a mask, but a great exfoliator. You'll need a tomato, and a tablespoon of organic cane sugar. Cut the "top" off of the tomato, (the stem) grab the stem, and rub the tomato with sugar. Then, apply the stem to your face and rub in circular motions. The tomato has lycopene (which gives it it's crimson color) which is a very powerful antioxidant.

Until next time,

Failed Easter Ideas

Hi all! I hope y'all are having a wonderful Easter! Although I think it's important to remember and recognize the real story behind Easter, it's still great to have fun activities to help make Easter more memorable, especially for kids. However, some events don't always go as planned. Here are some failed Easter ideas:

1. Re-enactment of the crucifixion of Jesus, complete with yelling mobs and lots of blood. This has proved to be extremely traumatizing for young kids, and it's difficult finding someone willing to play the part of Jesus Christ.

2. Rotten Egg Scavenger Hunt. The hunt actually goes pretty well, since the eggs are decorated very nicely. It isn't until all the eggs are found and the kids start cracking them on each other looking for prizes do we have a smelly problem.

3. In depth analysis of the life of Jesus. Now, I'm not saying the life of Jesus wasn't interesting and miraculous. All I know is that it's very difficult to get a bunch of 5-year-olds to sit still for 7 hours while listening to a monotonous recollection of Jesus' life.

4. Attack of the rabid Easter bunnies. The general idea is cute. What could be more fun that waking up to a little cluster of fluffy bunnies? The only problem is when one bunny contracts rabies and spreads it to the other bunnies. Easter bunnies that are foaming from the mouth and twitching aren't as fun.

Until next time,

What's in my Purse?

Hi Everybody! Today I'm going to be showing you what's in my current purse! My lovely mommy let me use her Sony Nex-5 camera to take the pictures! :)

Here's my purse! It's a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Damier Ebene. I love it! It holds everything while also looking very chic.
Here's my Hello Kitty Pouch.
I keep pens and highlighters in here, because I don't want them floating around my purse in case they spill.
 My Hello Kitty wallet!
 This is the inside
I like keeping different currencies in my wallet. It keeps them flat, and they're pretty to look at! From left to right: US 2 dollar bill, 5 pound bill from England, 5 Dirham bill from UAE, 1 pound bill from Cyprus, the next 3 bills are Omani, and the final 4 are from Qatar.
 Monkey pouch. :P

I keep essentials in here. And yes, lip balm is an essential for me!
Hello Kitty phone case (can you tell I have an obsession?)
Forget iPhones and Blackberries, all the cool kids have Sony Ericssons!
Pair of sunglasses that I always have in my purse.
iPod touch and iPod nano, both of which have died.
Louis Vuitton coin purse from my mommy!

Front and back of my metro card. Taking the metro makes getting to the mall so much easier!
Random products I have floating around in my purse.
Close up of my purse accessories, both from Bath and Body Works.
My lovely iPad with it's amazing Etch-A-Sketch case! :D
