How to Make Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Hey everybody!

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the cold weather and being able to snuggle up with a piping mug of hot chocolate! I've created a step-by-step instruction on my favorite way to make peppermint hot chocolate!

First, fill up a festive mug with milk*. For this recipe, water won't work.

You can either heat it up on the stove until it's near boiling, or just put it in the microwave on high for 2 minutes.

While your milk is heating up, crush some candy canes or peppermints. I like to stick these mini canes in a plastic bag and roll over it with a rolling pin. That way, they're nice and crushed up.

After your milk is done heating up, get out a jar of Nutella. Put in a generous spoonful (or 2 stingy spoons) of Nutella into the milk along with the crushed peppermint, and stir.

Voilá! You're done! The hot chocolate should be minty, frothy, and delicious! For an added touch, hang a candy cane on the rim!

Hope you enjoyed!

*I see you're using 1% milk. Is it because you think you're fat? 'Cause you're not. You could be using whole if you wanted to.

Restaurant Rave: Ping Pong

Hey everybody!

For the past couple of weeks, my family and I have been dining at this amazing restaurant called Ping Pong (located at the Dubai Mall). They specialize in teas, and dim sum. They have a dim sum menu where you check off the dishes you'd like, and they bring 3-4 pieces of the dim sum. It's great, because you get to try a lot of different entrees without fully committing to one! I honestly haven't come across a dish I didn't like!

Also, the service is fabulous! Even during the busiest hours on the busiest days of the week, the service is friendly, and efficient. The food comes very quickly, so that means no waiting when you're hungry!

This is my Grape & Apple jasmine iced tea. There are 4 different types of iced tea, and they're all different flavors infused with jasmine tea.

A few of the starters, we have duck puffs and prawn crackers.

Here we have lemon chicken, spring rolls, and shrimp balls.

This is the spicy seafood dumpling.

Here we have the spicy chicken dumpling.

Here we have scallop dumplings (clear) and seafood dumplings (yellow).

These are little bundles of rice, which are wrapped in leaves and steamed.

This is another chicken dumpling dish.

Lobster dumplings (pink), scallop dumplings (clear) and lemon chicken.

A close up of my favorite dumplings!

This isn't at Ping Pong, but at a gelato place called Morelli's which is also inside the Dubai Mall. Isaiah and I shared this delicious  hot chocolate fudge sundae!

Hope you all enjoyed this restaurant rave! Until next time,
